I learned a lot frοm tһе blackout οf 2003 tο һаνе cash,batteries,extra fuel,fοr аt Ɩеаѕt tow woeeks fοr a family οf four include extra fοr sharing. There should be a special free shelter for pets in each area or town. Every citizen should be given a packet listing aid and options that are available given a variety of variables– richer people should be able to provide their own shelter and for pets, poorer ones should be offered shelter and provisions. Each area should have a stock of provisions for poorer people made ready for emergency conditions. People could be able to contribute to these shelters, as well– money, time, and supplies– to relieve the government of some of the cost and responsibility. We should all believe in the motto: “do no harm and help when you can.”
First get yourself Prepared. As for your community you might try attending one of there monthly meetings and pose the question to them How are we Prepared. I’m not sure there’s much you can do as an Individual to prepare your Stae and even the Feds but, you might consider joining the Red Cross. The Best plans always start by prepareing yourself. You might even contact a few of your close neighbors and pose the question to them. If you all work together it wouldn’t cost you as much and you might feel better standing with friends in a crisis rather than being alone.
I always keep two weeks worth of staples in the house,I have lots of ice ready as well. I turn over everything often to keep it fresh and include those rations that can be stored for 20 years. I am looking into a generator I grow a large veggie garden and share that around my neighborhood. I so keep two tanks of propane for cooking. Have fishing rods too
